DALLAS — Rasmus Dahlin and the rest of the top prospects took in Dallas from its highest vantage point Thursday, meeting with media at the top of the iconic Reunion Tower.

One last time Dahlin will be known as an NHL prospect — Friday he'll become a member of the Buffalo Sabres.

Being the presumptive first overall pick and all that comes with it the culmination of 18 years of hard work for the Swedish defenseman.

"It feels crazy to be here actually, I can't believe it," Dahlin said. "Sometime in the near future I will stop and think what am I going through and all that kind of stuff. I am just trying to enjoy this time as much as I can."

Despite all this attention on Dahlin, the 18-year-old remains extremely humble. He declined to answer a question about what he thinks it'll be like when his name is called, but he did speak very glowingly about the city expected to be his home for the next 10 to 15 years.

"It was awesome when I was there for the combine," he said. "They have great fans, great city. It's a small city, I come from a small city, so yeah it is perfect in Buffalo. We will see what is happening tomorrow"

Buffalo kind of reminds him of home, he added.

The selection of Dahlin is just part of the intrigue with this draft, as the Sabres are rumored to be involved in several trade talks centered on Ryan O'Reilly.
