The state fire marshal’s office is investigating after a fire destroyed an apartment building in Norway.
The fire at 80 Beal St. was reported Thursday at 6:45 a.m., according to Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss.
The property is considered a total loss, according to Moss.
“This is the second time in a week that the FMO has been called to this address for a fire,” Moss said.
The fire marshal’s office is now investigating both fires, including one earlier this week.
“There were no reported injuries with either fire,” Moss said.
Real estate website Zillow lists 80 Beal St. as a three-unit multifamily building built in 1930 being sold-as is for a little under $200,000.
A sale is pending, according to Zillow.
The fire marshal’s office is asking anyone with information to call 1-888-870-6162.
