Tops pharmacy stores are approved drop-off locations for prescription drugs. The grocer works with the Department of Environmental Conservation to make this possible.

You can find designated disposal bins located in the Tops pharmacy department to dispose of any unwanted medications. You can actually do this any day of the year.

According to the 2019 National Survey of Drug Use and Health, 20.5 million Americans misused prescription pain relievers, stimulants, tranquilizers or sedatives.

Most of those drugs came from family and friends or home medicine cabinets.
