BUFFALO, N.Y. — State police are investigating a deadly rollover crash in downtown Buffalo in which the driver was ejected.

Troopers responded to I-190 south at the Elm Street exit around 7 a.m.

They say the driver attempted to change lanes quickly to make the exit. According to police, the vehicle struck a guard rail and rolled over. Troopers say that caused the driver to be thrown from the vehicle, onto the roof of a nearby building.

The 20-year-old woman died as a result of the crash. Police say her seatbelt was not fastened around her.

The name of the driver has not been released.
