ROCHESTER, N.Y. — What started as an early morning robbery spree launched two separate police chases ending in the arrest of three teens.

Two of the suspects are 16 years old, while the other suspect is 14 years old.

Rochester Police have charged all three teens with robbery and grand larceny.

Rochester police tell Spectrum News that they responded to two robberies and a carjacking in the span of around three hours Friday morning in the areas of Lake, Portland, Goodman, and Grey Streets.

A short time later, police found the stolen car and were led on a short pursuit before the suspects jumped out of the moving car that then hit a parked car.

Two of the teens were taken into custody there.

Officers say they then found the blue SUV, which was identified as the suspect's original car through video surveillance.

As officers tried to pull the suspect over, the teen led them on a car chase from Joseph Avenue to Saint Paul Boulevard.

He was taken into custody after a short pursuit and then climbing down the gorge and to the river.

"From 6:55 this morning until 10:12 this morning they were on a robbery spree it was evident that it wasn't going to stop until they were captured. So they were safely captured and the rest of us can go about our day," said Captain Naser Zenelovic of the Rochester Police Department.

All suspects and the driver of the pickup truck were unharmed.
