Nearly 12 years after her daughter's death, a local mother continues to fight for justice.
Leslie Brill Meserole held a rally in Buffalo Friday.
Her daughter, Amanda Wienckowski was found dead and naked in a garbage can, outside the New Covenant Church in January 2009.
The Erie County Medical Examiner ruled it an overdose.
But, Meserole believes her daughter was murdered.
She had Amanda's body exhumed, and sent to California.
Medical examiners there said her daughter died from blunt force trauma.
The mother has been fighting for the city of Buffalo to change the autopsy results.
"The M.E.'s office told me not to come back, they don't want to talk to me. Why? Because I have the pictures where they tell me my daughter has no marks. She has marks of strangulation, there's bruising all over her body, and she has blunt force trauma to the head," said Meserole.
Meserole says she plans to demonstrate every month until she gets answers.
