The man killed in Thursday's fatal crash in Niagara County has been identified.
The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says David Pettigrew was driving westbound on Lockport Road in the Town of Wheatfield when he drove off the pavement and into a tree.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are still trying to figure out what caused him to drive off the road.
