A woman faces multiple charges after Jamestown Police say she hit a pedestrian and then drove off earlier this month.
Police say 52-year-old Tammy Sawyer turned herself in, and is charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failing to yield to a pedestrian, and speeding.
She is currently being held in the city jail to be arraigned, and her vehicle has been impounded.
Authorities are crediting the community for the tip that led to them finding the driver and car.
