Absentee ballots are on their way to a mailbox near you in Erie County.
The Erie County Board of Elections began mailing more than 380,000 of those ballots this weekend, preparing for the Tuesday June 23rd primary and special elections.
The election will include the Democratic Presidential primary, Republican primary in the 27th Congressional District, contests for state senate and assembly, and other minor party primaries.
The June 23rd primaries are still six weeks away, but there are court battles about what races will be on the ballot.
The state board of elections recently canceled the presidential primary because of the COVID-19 pandemic, along with the fact that it is uncontested.
A federal judge ruled the primary be reinstated. The state attorney general is appealing that decision.
