The judge who will sentence Chris Collins released another batch of letters regarding the former congressman.

Most of these letters are from Collins' former constituents.

Some of them angry with the trust they say was broken by his insider trading while serving in Congress.

It's a much different tone than the more than 50 letters of support from Collins' family and some well-known political figures released Wednesday.

From Eric and Virginia Baker: "As constituents of New York's 27th Congressional District, we feel betrayed that Chris Collins misled and lied to the court and his electorate about innocence, claiming that the charges of insider trading against him were meritless."

Edward Warnke writes, "Watching him waste three years of our taxes and time while not representing us but himself and then having the audacity to run and win a re-election, and now having no one to represent us is rubbing salt in our face and the institution of Congress."

Collins narrowly beat Democrat Nate McMurray for the congressional seat in 2018.

McMurray writes to the judge "an individual of great promise, a fellow Eagle Scout no less, betrayed his constituents and will forever have his name tainted."

Contrast those types of sentiments with the pleas for leniency in letters from Collins' supporters.

They portray Collins as a man who showed generosity and stood up for what was right but is now remorseful and taking full responsibility for a grave mistake.

The most memorable letter is actually a Christmas card to the judge, with “#NaughtyList” on the front.

Inside, Kara Kane writes "Chris Collins is certainly on the naughty list for his crimes against federal law."

Collins will be sentenced next Friday and faces anything from home confinement in Florida to 10 years in prison. The U.S. Probation Office has recommended one year and a day in jail.
