Michael Caputo, a GOP firebrand in Western New York and former member of the Trump Campaign, was back in Washington, D.C. this week to visit his former boss.

“We talked about what’s next and I think the investigation has just begun and I think it’s time for the investigators to be investigated,” Caputo said.

Caputo says he and his family met with the president and first lady in the Oval Office for a little over half an hour. Along with the families, White House advisers Kellyanne Conway and Dan Scavino were also present.

The topics of discussion included recent headlines but also centered on the Mueller Report, in which Caputo was also mentioned. The longtime friend of the president did not want to go into detail about the conversation, but described Trump as feeling energized and ready to fight as the 2020 campaign season gets into high gear.

“All the talk you hear around Washington about how he’s under fire and he’s in danger and he could be impeached ... if that’s what people are thinking about, they’re wrong. He’s having a blast and at the same time he’s got something in store for all of them. I can’t wait for them to find out,” Caputo said.

He offers a preview of what’s to come after a bruised White House, at least according to Caputo, prepares for an offensive.

“A lot of Trump supporters are hoping the president isn’t going to just let bygones be bygones and move on from here. Without revealing the details of our conversation, I think the president’s supporters are going to be very pleased to see what’s next,” Caputo said.
