The state will allow outdoor, socially-distanced graduations of up to 150 people starting June 26, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said during daily briefing Sunday.

Cuomo warned that this could change depending on any outbreaks or significant changes. 

New York City is still set to start Phase 1 of the reopening process tomorrow. In response, Cuomo says the state will be designating coronavirus testing sites for protesters out rallying against the murder of George Floyd and police violence. 

"We are concerned those protests may have increased the spread of the virus," he said.

Cuomo says the state will be performing 35,000 coronavirus tests per day in New York City to closely monitor the reopening. The Governor still urged all protesters to get tested and said the state will be prioritizing 15 testing sites for individuals who have participated in recent protests. 

Westchester, Rockland, and the Hudson Valley are set to start Phase 2 of the reopening process on Tuesday. Long Island will start Phase 2 on Wednesday. 

The state performed 60,435 coronavirus tests in one day yesterday. There were 781 positive tests, lowest since March 16. This means that around 1% of the people tested were positive for the coronavirus

"That is very, very, good news," Cuomo said.

Forty-five people passed away from COVID-19 in New York yesterday. This is up slightly from 35 fatalities the day before and 42 the day before that.
