Sunday marks Groundhog Day, a day when many Americans will be looking to Punxsutawney Phil to tell us how long winter will last.

But some in New York know to look to the Queen City.

Buffalo Bert, Western New York's very own furry meteorologist, came out of hibernation Saturday to predict another six weeks of winter.

Bert's handlers say the groundhog was rescued as an orphan and lives at a wildlife refuge in the Town of Aurora.

This is his 12th annual prediction and even more important, organizers say Bert boasts a 100% accuracy rate. That's compared to his fellow groundhog out of Pennsylvania, who analysts say is only correct 39% of the time.
