The Buffalo Bills (5-2) are preparing for a trip out west to face the Seahawks (4-3) in Seattle this Sunday.
The Seahawks currently have the top-passing offense in the NFL, led by quarterback Geno Smith.
The Bills are more toward the middle of the pack at this point in the season, but with Josh Allen under center, that could change at any second.
The Bills are averaging just under 205 yards a game. But while Allen's numbers might be down, so are his interceptions. Through the first seven games of the season, the man that's had the reputation of being a little free with the football has zero picks so far.
Head coach Sean McDermott on Wednesday credited Allen's decision-making.
“He’s been very intentional about it and it’s important to him,” McDermott said. “He knows the value of playing clean football that way and protecting the house. I’m very impressed by his decision-making to this point.”
“That’s one of the things I wanted to clean up over the last few years, and now to go out there and do it is easier said than done and again it takes some luck to get there,” said Allen. “You’re going to have balls that shouldn’t be intercepted that are intercepted, and you’re going to have balls that probably should be intercepted that aren’t, so again, I’m just trying to take it one play at a time, make the right decision and get it to our guys.”
In injury news, tight end Dawson Knox did not practice with an ankle injury, while fellow tight end Dalton Kincaid was in a red non-contact jersey. Linebacker and captain Terrel Bernard also did not practice due to ankle/pectoral injuries/a personal reason.
Wide receiver Curtis Samuel also did not practice, along with defensive end Dawuane Smoot. Defensive tackle DaQuan Jones got a veteran rest day.
The Bills and Seahawks kick off Sunday at 4:05 p.m.
