COLUMBUS, Ohio — Former Blue Jackets player Johnny Gaudreau, 31, and his brother, Matthew, 29, will be laid to rest Monday in a joint funeral, the Blue Jackets confirmed.
The brothers died on the evening of Thursday, Aug. 29, after being hit by a suspected drunk driver while they were riding their bikes in Oldmans Township, N.J., police said. The brothers were in the area for their sister's wedding, which was set to take place on Aug. 30 in Philadelphia.
The service will be live streamed on nhl.com/bluejackets. It's set to take place at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Media, Penn.
