The NTSB has released its report on the Jamestown plane crash from Aug. 5 that left two people injured.
The plane took off from Dunkirk Airport, heading toward Fort Lauderdale to pick up airplane parts.
Both the pilot and co-pilot reported smelling electrical smoke as the plane reached about 8,000 feet, but said no smoke was visible.
At one point, the air traffic controller in Buffalo lost connection with pilots.
The last transmission heard from the crew on board was they were about to land in Jamestown.
The cabin, cockpit and sections of the wings were all on fire after crashing.
Pilots said the engines showed no warning messages about malfunctions.
This is currently considered a Class 3 investigation, which means they're looking to see if there were any safety issues that caused the accident.
