Some changes are taking effect Monday for Regional Transit Service customers in Genesee County.
RTS will now have four routes instead of two.
The changes aim to improve the frequency of routes in Batavia and LeRoy and simplify the route structure.
“We are excited to introduce these new and improved routes for RTS customers in Genesee County,” RTS CEO Miguel Velázquez said in a statement. “By simplifying the route structure, expanding the service day, and increasing the frequency of service, we are making it easier for our customers to reach the destinations that are most important to them.”
The new route service will run Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.:
- Route 210: Batavia West
- Serving Big Tree Glen, the VA, Tops, Walmart, Target.
- Route 211: Batavia South
- Serving Birchwood Place, the VA, Tops, Walmart, Target.
- Route 212: Batavia East
- Serving 400 Towers, Washington Towers, UMMC, DSS.
- Route 214: LeRoy/Stafford
- Serving Royal Apartments, Tops, Sav-a-Lot, LeRoy Meadows, DSS.
- Provides service within LeRoy and a connection to Batavia.
- Serving Royal Apartments, Tops, Sav-a-Lot, LeRoy Meadows, DSS.
