The $6 million renovation project at the Buffalo Convention Center is now complete.

Repairs were made outside, including the installation of a new building façade, which lights up in a variety of colors at night.

The curb outside was reworked to provide a loading and unloading zone for guests, which has a built-in snow melting system.

The entrance was reconfigured to create better traffic flow with three new 10-foot wide sliding doors.

There is also a new vestibule, where you will find other upgrades that were made to the floor and ceiling.

"The improvements at this facility, which is the oldest convention center in the United States, are very important to keeping the meanings of the convention business thriving in our community,” said Patrick Kaler, Visit Buffalo Niagara president and CEO. “I call this ‘the big over $5 million facelift to our convention center.’ Some might be saying this is a shade of lipstick. It is much more than that."
