NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — The Metro Niagara Falls Trolley Season is here, bringing a nostalgic feel to a city very focused on redevelopment.

The trolley system is free for participating hotel guests, who can ask for a trolley pass and travel to tourist destinations in Niagara Falls. Guests staying at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino, Hyatt Place Niagara Falls, Kalika Hotel, Cambria Hotel Niagara Falls, and Sheraton Niagara Falls, among many others, can utilize the trolleys free of charge.

The trolleys are refurbished to bring back the Niagara Falls vibe. It’s also a way for new and return visitors to see the city’s redevelopment.

“It’s not just a bus, it’s a trolley and it looks like a trolley,” hotel owner Frank Stangio said. “That’s what the idea was – we wanted to make it old fashioned and make it something that was a cool experience and that’s when we were in talks with the NFTA to begin with almost 19 years ago. It’s an experience, it’s not just a ride.”

The trolleys run every day, from 9 a.m. until 12 a.m.
