LOCKPORT, N.Y. β€” It started in 1987 with two pontoon boats, and now Lockport Locks and Erie Canal Cruises will sail off for its 37th season on Saturday.

Cruises are about two hours long and walk you through the history of the Erie Canal. You also will get the chance to see how the locks work, with 2.5 million gallons of water pouring in to lift the boat up to the next level.

Owners say people from all over the world come to check this local historic tour out.
