BUFFALO, N.Y. — ​The city of Buffalo will say their final goodbyes to fallen firefighter Jason Arno on Friday. 

There are several road closures in effect while Arno's funeral is taking place.

Virginia Street, between South Elmwood Avenue and Mariner Street, and Delaware Ave., between West Ferry and West Utica streets, will be closed from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m. Friday.

Franklin Street, between West Seneca and West Eagle streets, Church Street, between Pearl Street and Delaware, Upper Terrace, between Pearl and West Seneca streets, Erie Street, between Lower Terrace and Franklin Street, and Swan Street, between Franklin and Pearl streets, will be closed from 6 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Additionally Allen Street, between Delaware and Elmwood avenues, will also be closed from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Friday.

The procession route from Amigone Funeral Home to Saint Joseph Cathedral Friday has also been released.

It will go down Delaware Avenue to Allen Street, and Allen to South Elmwood, where it will then drive by Engine 2, where Arno was stationed. It will then proceed from Engine 2 down South Elmwood, across West Eagle Street to Lower Terrace to Seneca Street and Saint Joseph Cathedral.

Officials say that if you would like to be part of the procession, to stand outside on the sidewalk to salute our fallen local hero as space in the church is solely for family, friends and members of the fire department.
