HAMBURG, N.Y. — If you want to get into the holiday spirit this weekend, here's the perfect opportunity. The Festival of Lights is back at the Fairgrounds in Hamburg for its 18th year.

This year's festival has some new displays. That includes an Illuminated Pixel Show, which is a Disney-inspired light show, and a "Night Before Christmas Interactive Maze."

Another new element: Santa's Christmas Express and the North Pole Experience. That's right, that means you can meet Santa.

"We just love seeing all the kids,” Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus said. “That's why Santa's here, to help spread the spirit of Christmas. That's it, we just love seeing all the smiles out there.”

"[It’s been] 18 years that we've been bringing this awesome festival to Hamburg,” Becca Lickfeld, Hamburg Fairgrounds graphic designer, said. “It's a little different every year, especially this year. The past two years we've only been a drive thru, but now we have our walk around experience back and it's new and different that’s what we had before."

The Festival of Lights is open today through Sunday, December 9 - 11, and 16 - 23.
