A partnership between the NFTA and retail giant Amazon is making it easier for employees to get to work.

New routes are providing service to Amazon’s facility in Lancaster. There’s now a direct ride from the thruway mall transfer center on Walden Avenue.

Passengers who need a transfer can do so from the Broadway, Sycamore, Porter-Best and Delavan routes.

"As employers, in this case Amazon, are looking to hire people, transportation is critical," State Sen. Patrick Gallivan said. "This is a way to attract people to come and work out here in this community, and a way to get them here and I am thrilled to be a part of it."

Rides to Amazon in Lancaster are available seven days a week.

"As you noticed, there are a lot of other employers on this pathway, hopefully many of them can benefit from this as well," Assemblywoman Monica Wallace said. "I really applaud both these entities for working together in this private public partnership, and I think it is a very great model moving forward in a very tight job market."

Amazon will also purchase more than 25 bus passes per month for their employees to ensure they have the means of getting to work.
