BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo and chicken wings go hand-in-hand and a special pop-up at the Broadway Market is serving up a little bit of wing history to go along with it.

It’s a wing Wednesday as we get a glimpse of an iconic Buffalo delicacy out at the Broadway Market.

With a recipe from the 1960’s that predates the famous Buffalo style, John Young’s tasty Mumbo wings were a hit in the Black communities of the Queen City.

Now you can try the original wing in all its glory at the Broadway Market.

Young’s daughter Lina Brown-Young joins our Kelly Khatib to discuss the history of the Mumbo wing and what makes them so unique.

You can taste Mumbo wings for yourself at the Broadway Market on Wednesday, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. The pop-up will return on August 3, 17 and 31.
