BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo's Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is vowing to continue to fight discrimination following the racially motivated mass shooting that took place two weeks ago at Tops Supermarket.

They say the shooting is a sad reminder that racism lives on in America.

It’s up to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to fight that racism when it happens in the workplace, something they’ve been tasked with since the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

"There are important and necessary conversations that are going to be happening in all sorts of places all throughout our society, including in workplaces," James E.B. Bobseine, from the EEOC, said. "The EEOC offers resources to employers and employees to help train and facilitate those important conversations."
