BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Catholic Diocese is showing their support for Ukraine.
Bishop Michael Fisher stopped by the Ukrainian Cultural Center on Genesee Street Thursday. He met with the center’s board members and priests from the local Ukrainian community.
Buffalo’s bishop says the Queen City is here to help Ukrainians both locally and in eastern Europe.
“We’re not sure what is ahead of us,” Bishop Fisher said. “But we do know there are great needs right now. Humanitarian needs as well, medical needs for those who have displaced from their homes, from their lives, their families. And, as a church, we want to do what we can to assist in any way that we can.”
