BUFFALO, N.Y. — A local man is helping feed hungry families across Western New York this Easter season.

Dave Rogers delivered 400 hams to the Catholic Charities food pantry on Tift Street in Buffalo.

The nonprofit said this is the latest in a long line of donations from Rogers.

In the past 11 years, he has worked with Federal Meats to donate food every spring, topping more than 4,000 hams.

“Otherwise, our clients wouldn’t be able to go out and buy this meal,” Darlene Sery, food pantry coordinator, said. They could donate to a lot of organizations, but we are happy to receive it. We are very grateful that we are able to serve so many people in this community.”

With Rogers’ donation, Catholic Charities expects to provide hams for about 1,000 families across the region.
