BUFFALO, N.Y. — The City of Buffalo did a ball drop practice run on Washington Street Tuesday, ahead of New Year's Eve.
Buffalo's 34th annual ball drop and fireworks will take place at the Iskalo Development Electric Tower in Roosevelt Plaza Friday night.
"As part of the festivities, there will be performances by The Strictly Hip and saxophonist Will Holton,” said Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown. “The Buffalo ball drop is an important fundraiser for the Buffalo Police Athletic League, which serves more than 20,000 children."
Attendees will be required to wear a mask and must follow all New York State and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention COVID safety protocols.
