Platform shoes, bright lights, and the hippest threads in town, this could only mean one thing - the return of the World’s Largest Disco.

After going virtual last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the extravaganza made its triumphant return in grand fashion and to keep everyone protected, all guests were required to show proof of vaccination upon arrival. Amid the recent rise in COVID cases throughout the region, extra precautions were taken as well.

“We have 6,000 masks that are available to guests, so if they don’t feel comfortable, they can wear a mask,” David Pietrowski, World’s Largest Disco founder, said. “We certainly have sanitize stations, we have servers actually serving the food so you won’t be able to get something yourself, like in VIP. So we have plenty of hand washing stations, et cetera, so yes, we’ve done everything we could possibly do and frankly we’ve followed what the Bills and the Sabres have done. We think they’ve done a really good job.”

And of course, a few famous friends stopped by to enjoy the party, including Rose Royce, who performed their hit song “Car Wash” and Dance Fever host Deney Terrio.

The World’s Largest Disco also happens to be one of the world’s greatest fundraisers, as all proceeds go to benefit Camp Good Days, a camp for children battling cancer. The disco has been raising funds for the camp since 1994 and the support has grown astronomically over the years.

“It started off as a small fundraising event, it’s grown and grown every year and we’ve given them over $6.5 million and that’s the best part. Everyone here is a volunteer,” Pietrowski said.

Good times, good vibes, and a good cause, the World’s Largest Disco’s return was a triumphant and welcomed one, inviting everyone to dance their worries away amid all that’s going on in the world.

“It’s been a long time since we’ve all been together and it’s a wonderful night. Everyone’s smiling, laughing, and we’re raising a lot of money for Camp Good Days,” Pietrowski said.
