EAST AURORA, N.Y. — East Aurora hosted its Borderland Music Festival over the weekend. The event gave local artists a chance to perform in front of a live crowd.
Members of one of the bands, "Mom said No," say they're proud to help represent Western New York's culture and music scene. They had the idea to start a band back in high school while attending St. Joseph's Collegiate.
Five years later, the group says it loves performing for old fans and hopefully making new ones at live events like borderland.
"Well, we just finished up our second album," said band member Ben Mac. "We’ve got one out there right now, but I think our next big stuff is going to be trying to get our new music out. We think it’s pretty good!"
The Borderland Music Festival was first held in 2018.
