BUFFALO, N.Y. — Progress continues on renovations at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo.
The $160 million project will result in a massive expansion.
Right now, crews continue building the framework for the updates. Last week, they placed the final steel beam in the building's frame which paved the way for the concrete floors that are being poured.
Eventually, a glass curtain wall will be installed.
The project will double the museum's size and is expected to have a $270 million economic impact on the area.
The Albright-Knox is expected to reopen next year.
