U.S. Rep. Brian Higgins has certainly been one of the loudest voices in Western New York and in Washington with calls to reopen the Canadian border. Now he is also calling for travel across the Atlantic to come back.

Higgins is once again pointing to the economic impact that travel with the U.K. could have for the United States.

He sent a letter to President Joe Biden, along with other members in the House of Representatives, pointing to vaccine progress in both countries.

Higgins wants the president to work with U.K. officials to hammer out a plan that would allow fully vaccinated travelers in and out of each country.

So far, no announcements have been made regarding the future of overseas travel guidelines.
