ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The National Buffalo Wing Festival will celebrate its 20th anniversary in a few months, but it will look a lot different than years past, mainly because it's taking place at Highmark Stadium this year.

As usual, it will be held over Labor Day weekend, but unlike years past, attendance is limited and you'll have to buy tickets in order to attend.

“We are excited to take the Wingfest to the next level with the support of the Buffalo Bills organization and can’t wait to celebrate our 20th anniversary at Highmark Stadium,” said Drew Cerza, the festival's founder. “Our sincere thanks go to the Buffalo Bisons organization for helping to make the Wingfest a national sensation for the chicken wing industry.”

There will be 2,500 tickets available for five sessions throughout the weekend.

Tickets for a three-hour visit will set you back $20 and come with a parking pass. There are three time slots on Saturday, September 4 and two on Sunday, September 5.

“Wingfest is a local staple and a national celebration. Hosting it at Highmark Stadium furthers our commitment to use the stadium for an increasing number of community events,” said Ron Raccuia, Pegula Sports & Entertainment's executive vice president. “We’re proud to welcome the festival to the home of the Buffalo Bills.”

Tickets go on sale July 9 at 10 a.m. A portion of every ticket sold will go to Feed More Western New York.
