Police are investigating another homicide in the city of Buffalo overnight.

Around 2:40 a.m., police were called to the area around Playter Street and Kent Street.

They found a man who had been struck by gunfire, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. With this homicide, Buffalo's total for this year alone has reached 46.

This latest incident comes after a bloody few days in the city. Wednesday evening, shots were fired from a car that pulled up to JFK park. Four people were injured, including two children.

The next morning, a shooting at an alleged drug house on Ashley Street left three people dead. Buffalo police say they are seeing about 48% more gun arrests than last year.
