BUFFALO, N.Y. — The race for Buffalo mayor may very well be decided at the polls today.
Incumbent Byron Brown is facing challenges from two other Democrats this year. There are no Republicans on the ticket.
Brown is looking to secure a fifth term.
India Walton and Le'Candice Durham are both trying to unseat the mayor and bring their own fresh ideas to the city.
Spectrum News 1 posed three questions to both Brown and Walton, as Durham did not immediately respond to multiple requests for an interview. Watch the answers to question No. 2 in the video player above.
1. Why should voters elect you as their next mayor?
2. How do you plan to get Buffalo back on track following the coronavirus?
3. What is your stance on defunding the police? And how will you commit to keeping the city safe?
