BUFFALO, N.Y. — A 133-year-old Buffalo staple is getting some improvements.

A $1.1 million project is underway at the Broadway Market.

Most of the work is happening on the outside of the building. Crews are removing and replacing materials outside, and will patch and paint its upper concrete areas.

The project is expected to be finished this summer.

More than half of the money for the project comes from state funding.
