BUFFALO, N.Y. — A day club in Buffalo’s Black Rock neighborhood is facing some backlash after an all-day dress code was posted at the establishment.

Several people took to social media saying that many of the policies in Tappo Day Club’s new dress code were racist. Tappo has since responded saying the policy came from a physical altercation at the club’s grand opening.

The owner says Buffalo Police were called and many employees and customers were frightened, and the policy was meant to be a safety measure.

Tappo says it apologizes to anyone who was offended as the policy clearly sent the wrong message. They are now working to revise their dress code policy.
