BUFFALO, N.Y. — The city of Buffalo has not only one, but two, of the worst highways in America. That’s according to the National Freeways Without Futures Report.

Route 33 and the Scajaquada Expressway made the list of 15 highways across the country. They were chosen based on things like age, condition, design and redevelopment opportunities.

The report also calls for the highways to be redesigned or replaced in order to better connect and serve surrounding communities.

The Greater Buffalo-Niagara Regional Transportation Council plans to have a public meeting about those highways on June 17 at 6 p.m.
