As the travel industry begins to picks back up, a local organization is asking for your help in getting Western New York back to its pre-pandemic tourism boom.
Visit Buffalo Niagara leads a 10 year development initiative for the Queen City and surrounding areas.
They say visitors have brought in roughly $1.9 billion to the local economy in recent years, creating an upward trend before the pandemic.
Now, the organization is asking local what they think could bring visitors to the region.
“What are the things that, you know, when they travel do they experience that they would maybe like to see in Buffalo, considering who we are as a community , what our natural resources are, and how that can come into play. Does it have to do without overall road infrastructure, restaurants, different attractions?” Patrick Kaler, Visit Buffalo Niagara president and CEO, said.
