Buffalo elected officials joined representatives from Preservation Buffalo-Niagara and GOBike Buffalo to publicly share ideas for the future of the Grant Street corridor.
That includes adding bike lanes that are clearly marked and clearing up plenty of room for foot traffic to nearby businesses.
There are already some concepts ready to be presented, but local leaders still want the Grant Street community to critique the plans and pitch ideas for the future of the neighborhood.
"We've come up with several options which will be presented to the community in the next several days coming in the following weeks. To then take those concepts and refine them further so we can come up with a workable solution that really brings forth the vision that the community has identifies with what they would like to see here on this corridor," said GOBike Buffalo Executive Director Justin Booth.
Public workshops are happening with the community next week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday to talk about plans for the neighborhood.
The meetings are at the campus walk building on Grant Street.
