NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — A new visitor center will soon welcome guests to Niagara Falls State Park.

The current center is about 35 years old.

Park leaders say it's no longer functional.

The new facility will include ticketing and information desks and exhibits.

People will be able to learn about Niagara Falls and the whole region.

The key is to make people want to stay in Western New York longer.

Work on the new facility is expected to start in the fall and wrap up next year.
