AMHERST, N.Y. — The University at Buffalo is set to begin vaccinating students who live on-campus before they head home for the summer.

UB plans to establish a new student vaccination site on the school's north campus in Amherst.

Though university officials say they want to begin the vaccinations soon, there's no word yet when the site will open.

So far, 2,300 UB students and nearly 1,000 university workers report they've already been vaccinated.

SUNY officials say they're planning to distribute 18,600 doses across 34 college campuses over the next several weeks.

They're also working with the state to secure further doses.
