LOCKPORT, N.Y. — This New Year's Eve is going to be a lot quieter than usual.
But one local business wants to make sure you can still have fun.
The Transit Drive-In is holding a New Year's Eve movies and fireworks event.
They will play films like Ghostbusters, Annie, and It's a Wonderful Life before showing the ball drop in Times Square. After that, the fireworks begin.
Because the drive-in is outside, and everyone stays in their cars, owner Rick Cohen says this will be a socially distant way to celebrate.
"We have done our best to protect our customers, protect our staff, and keep people involved in doing things but in a safe environment. And that's the most important thing — we want to keep our community safe," said Cohen.
Parking is limited to less than 50 percent capacity.
