While the first lake effect snowstorm of the winter season is now over, the snow certainly made an impact over the past two days.

Officials were able to reopen the Skyway on Saturday after it was closed for much of the day.

As the snowfall tapered off in West Seneca, kids and their families were afforded some much needed time to play outside.

For people who were out and about in Buffalo on Saturday, they most likely saw a blanket of slush and snow all over the roadway.

City officials say they have 30 plows that they used to clear more than a foot of snow from some neighborhoods.
