For many Western New Yorkers, a big part of the Christmas season is attending mass on Christmas Eve and Christmas day.
If you plan on doing that, there will be some changes.
The rector at St. Joseph Cathedral, Fr. Sean Paul Flemming, says anyone attending mass there will need to reserve a ticket a head of time.
They must limit their capacity to 33%, according to state regulations. Also, people must wear a mask and social distance inside the church.
Fr. Fleming adds they will also have a live stream of their Christmas Eve midnight mass and their Christmas morning mass at 10:30 a.m.
"We encourage people to go to their parish websites, Facebook pages, and even check their phone messages," he said while talking about last minute changes to the schedule. "We know those things can change in a matter of hours, so keep yourself up to date and even on your way out to mass."
