Warm weather and sunshine doesn’t sound like Buffalo in November, but that is what’s happening – for much of this week at least.
“You can sit and read a book in the sunshine while being out of everybody’s way, you can run up and down stairs and hills. It’s just wonderful," says Christina Donegan, of Buffalo.
People are making the most of the nice weather by walking around Delaware Park, biking, and even bringing workout mats.
“We’re just chilling by the water, going to do some yoga… It’s a calm, relaxed day," adds Aashe, of Buffalo.
Park-goers say that taking time to relax is a priority especially this year amid the stress of everything happening in 2020, including the election.
“I didn’t want to repeat 2016 where I sat there all night to 3 in the morning. It didn’t change anything. I watch what’s going on and then I get outside and try and enjoy the day. It’s a stress reducer, because there’s a lot of heavy things going on. Self-care is a big thing for a lot of people to really be aware of what choices you’re making that are causing even more anxiety," explains Ron Gentner, of Buffalo.
