A bit of Hollywood will be coming to the Queen City.
Matt Fleckenstein is creating a film facility called Buffalo Studios on South Park Avenue.
The Buffalo native worked in Los Angeles for 20 years.
His facility will have sound-stage capabilities for major film and television projects.
The goal is to bring big projects and jobs to the area, and contribute to Buffalo's renaissance.
"And all the great things are happening to Buffalo that we know Buffalo deserves. And the country and the world are now seeing what we've always known about Buffalo — what a great place it is to be, to live, to do business,” said Fleckenstein.
Fleckenstein is aiming to break ground in late spring and complete the project by the end of 2022.
