BUFFALO, N.Y. — Police body camera footage has now surfaced of a confrontation between Buffalo officers and state Supreme Court Justice Mark Grisanti.
The director of public information for the New York State Unified Court System tells Spectrum News that they and the State Commission on Judicial Conduct are aware of the incident and video.
Law 360 obtained the video of the event that happened back in June.
It appears police are called after the Grisantis and their neighbors get into a fight over some street parking issues.
During the incident, police appear to try to handcuff Grisanti's wife Maria but she pushes them and tries to get away. Mark Grisanti then appears to push an officer.
Grisanti allegedly repeats multiple times that his daughter and son-in-law are police officers and “if you don't get the cuffs officer, you're going to have a problem.”
Later body camera video appears to show Grisanti in the back of the police car being allowed to have a phone call with who Law 360 has identified as his cousin, who is a Buffalo police detective.
Charges were never filed in the incident.
Buffalo police and Grisanti's attorneys did not immediately return a request for comment.
