NEW YORK - Fire department officials were investigating after a scaffolding rig partially collapsed on the side of a Manhattan high-rise Monday morning.

The FNDY said the call came in just after 9 a.m. after two workers were stuck on the rig 30 stories high at 250 Vesey Street in Battery City Park.

The building used to be Four World Financial Center.

It took firefighters 40 minutes to rescue the workers and they had to cut through the windows to get to them.

Both workers refused medical attention at the scene.
