CLARENCE, N.Y. — When you think fall in Western New York, you may think of leaf-peeping at Letchworth State Park, or grabbing a cider slushie at Mayer Brothers Cider Mill.

But you can't forget one of the other favorites. The Great Pumpkin Farm in Clarence is also another go-to, and it opens this Saturday, September 19.

Co-Owner Ben Schultz estimates they have thousands of pumpkins to pick from, and they'll also have their corn maze, food, and more.

They will have protocols in place to keep everyone safe while they visit. All guests must wear a mask both inside and outside while on the property. Hand-sanitizing stations will be located throughout the farm and they ask people to social distance.

This year is their 25th anniversary and Schultz says he is grateful they could still open.

“It’s been a crazy year getting ready, a lot of last minute things going on,” he said. “Up until about three weeks ago, we didn’t even know if we were even able to have our festival. But we are thrilled to be able to operate this year and we are getting everything ready now.”

They will be open every day from 10 a.m. to dusk until November 1. Tickets can be purchased online for the weekends and week days are free.
